Detained Binance Executive’s Wife Warns of Health Crisis, Urges Immediate Release

In a heart-wrenching plea, Yuki Gambaryan, the wife of detained Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan, has raised urgent concerns about her husband’s health and well-being.

Tigran Gambaryan, a former IRS agent and U.S. citizen, traveled to Nigeria for a meeting regarding the role of the crypto platform Binance in the country’s economic challenges. He was arrested on February 16 and has been in detention since then. Recently, some U.S. lawmakers wrote to President Biden, urging him to pressure the Nigerian government for Tigran’s release1. Yuki Gambaryan confirmed her family’s awareness of this letter and expressed hope that it would secure her husband’s release.

Tigran’s health has significantly deteriorated during his incarceration. He tested positive for malaria, yet prison officials denied his request for hospital treatment. The conditions at Kuje Prison, where he is held, are notorious for their harshness. Despite a court order to move him to a hospital, this directive has not been carried out1.

The U.S. lawmakers emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that Tigran’s life is at risk. They called for immediate action to ensure his safety and preserve his well-being1.

Tigran Gambaryan’s wife pleads for his release, fearing for his life due to the dire conditions and inadequate medical care. Let us hope that justice prevails, and Tigran’s health is prioritized1. 🙏
