Abuja, Nigeria
– The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, met with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock Villa on Thursday. During their closed-door talks, Mr. Chukwuma announced that the commuting public would soon benefit from more affordable transportation through Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered buses.

Mr. Chukwuma emphasized the importance of the Presidential CNG Initiative, describing it as “the way forward” for the country. He stated, “CNG offers many benefits for Nigeria, and that’s why I started producing vehicles that run on CNG even before the official announcement.”

President Tinubu had recently promised to distribute “a million kits at extremely low or no cost to commercial vehicles that transport people and goods.” He highlighted the need to reduce reliance on oil-based petrol and tap into Nigeria’s abundant gas resources. The CNG initiative is expected to save the country over two trillion Naira monthly, which can be redirected toward healthcare and education.

In summary, Mr. Chukwuma’s meeting with President Tinubu signals a positive step toward more sustainable and cost-effective transportation options for Nigerians. As the CNG buses hit the roads, citizens can look forward to a greener and economically efficient future.
